ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT PROVIDER: This course taught by an AHA-certified instructor with video in the classroom. Prior BLS certification is not required but highly recommended to take this course. Course content will include the following:
• 1-rescuer CPR, AED
• Defibrillation
• Airway management
• Rhythm recognition
• IV/IO access
• Use of medications
• Cardioversion
• Transcutaneous pacing
• Effective resuscitation team dynamics
Class size is limited to six students. There is also a written exam with this course. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive an AHA certification card that is valid for two years.

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT FOR HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS: This course taught by an AHA-certified instructor with video in the classroom. Course content inclues the collowing:
• Adult, child rescue breathing
• Adult, child CPR/AED – 1 Rescuer
• Adult, child CPR/AED – 2 Rescuers
• Adult, child relief of choking
• Adult, child bag-mask use
• Infant rescue breathing
• Infant CPR
• Infant relief of choking
• Infant bag-mask use
Upon successful completion of the skills checklist and written exam, students will receive an AHA certification card that is valid for two years. *Students taking the BLS for Healthcare Providers course with AHA March 2011 update will have to take the Initial course regardless of their card expiration date. Beginning in 2013, students will have the opportunity to take the Renewal course.

HEARTSAVER FIRST AID w/CPR & AED: This course is available upon request for on-site classes for a minimum class size of four students.
This AHA-certified instructor and video led course provides training in basic CPR and AED skills such as giving CPR to an infant, child, or an adult; using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED); and using a mask or barrier device. This is a great course for individuals working in the non-healthcare field or individuals wanting to learn these skills in the event of an emergency with a family member or loved one. Heartsaver First Aid is designed to meet OSHA regulations. The course provides training for anyone who wants to learn basic first aid for adults. This course teaches how to handle emergencies such as diabetes, stroke heart attack, allergic reactions and many others. There is no written exam for this course. After attending the class and demonstrating to the instructor that a student can correctly perform the skills learned during the class, the student will receive an AHA certification card that is valid for two years.
