All course fees include the AHA certification card fee of $5.00. (Family & Friends CPR does not come with a card). ACLS cards are $6.00.
A private class is one whose date is scheduled by the student(s) with less than 4 students in it.
All on-site classes must have a minimum of four students!

ACLS Provider (Initial)
This course is intended for ealthcare providers who direct or participate in the resuscitation of a patient. A current BLS for Healthcare Providers card is recommended but not required to take the ACLS Provider course. Students are required to complete the Pre-course Preparation Checklist, and a copy of the ACLS Self-Assessment Tests Scores must be shown to the instructor before you may be permitted to take the course. This course is divided into two days.
ACLS Provider (Renewal)
This course is intended for ealthcare providers who direct or participate in the resuscitation of a patient. This renewal class is only for individuals with a current ACLS card. This card must be presented to the instructor before you will be allowed to take the class. A current BLS for Healthcare Providers card is recommended but not required to take the ACLS Renewal course. Persons with an expired card or persons taking ACLS for the first time need to take a "first- timers" ACLS course which is not a course that we teach currently. After registering for this course, students will be mailed the ACLS Provider Maunal and Student CD. Students are required to complete the Pre-course Preparation Checklist, and a copy of the ACLS Self-Assessment Tests Scores must be shown to the instructor before you may be permitted to take the course.
BLS for Healthcare Providers This course is intended for licensed and non-licensed individuals who provide direct patient care in a variety of settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, home healthcare, and elsewhere in the community. These individuals include nurses, EMTs, physician assistants, respiratory, physical, occupational and speech therapists, med. or nursing students, medical residents, or fellows. The student will learn the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (adult, child, and infant), use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) (adult and child), and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (child, adult, and infant). Course length is approximately 3 hours.
Please note it is the student's responsibility to determine which course he/she needs. Make sure you check with your employer or school to decide if they require BLS for Healthcare Providers vs. the Heartsaver AED course!!! We will not refund your money for taking the wrong course or failing a course. Students will have to pay full price for any course that they take.
Heartsaver AED This course is for individuals who need to learn infant, child, and adult CPR and how to operate an Automatic External Defibrillator to respond to cardiac emergencies to fulfill their job requirements. These individuals include firefighters, police officers, lifeguards, airline personnel, and security guards, as well as people who work in areas where there are large numbers of people such as hotels, malls, restaurants, daycare or senior centers, fitness centers, factories, and theme parks. This class is also beneficial to those family members living with patients at high risk for sudden cardiac emergencies. Course length is approximately 2 1/2 hours. Heartsaver First Aid with CPR & AED This course is intended for those individuals needing infant, child, and adult CPR and first aid certification. It includes information and training in the skills of first-aid recommended by OSHA. The course contains three modules. They are General Principles of First-Aid, Medical Emergencies, and Injury Emergencies. There is an optional module that teaches how to respond to Environmental Emergencies as well. This course fulfills the American Heart Association's First Aid, CPR, and AED requirements for lifeguards and camp counselors as well as day-care providers and early childhood educators. Course length is approximately 4 hours. Friends & Family CPR (non-credentialed) This course is a non-credentialed class; however, a letter of completion will be issued to each student by the instructor. This course is designed for members of the general public who would like to learn the basics of CPR. These individuals include families with children or elderly adults, athletes, resident assistants in college dorms, and volunteers. A course participation card comes with the optional student workbook. Course length is approximately 3 hours.
Costs are per student. Based on the information that we are given by the student, we will do our best to make sure that the student signs up for the course they need. However, it is ultimately the student's responsibility that they register for the class they need for work or school requirements.. The AHA recommends that manuals be obtained and available for reference to each student before, during, and after class. Student manuals may be purchased prior to classes through ABCDs of CPR or WorldPoint A manual will be available to each student for use and/or purchase at the time of class. The $5.00 certifcation card fee is included in the price of the class. Replacement cards will be an additional $5.00 per card. ACLS cards are $6.00.
No refunds will be made! This includes students who take the "wrong" course or who fail a course. If you miss your class, you may reschedule for the next class with available space convenient for you. A $20 fee will be charged for all returned checks!
Cancellation Policy Cancellations must be made prior to 24 hours before the scheduled class time to avoid being charged for the registered course. If you cancel less than 24 hours before your scheduled time or if you do not show up for your assigned time, your credit card will be charged for the full price of the course. If you miss your class, you will be allowed to register for a course at a later date at no additional cost.
On-site training classes are available upon request. The Onsite Training Contract will need to be completed and returned to us at least 24 hours before the class time. Classes must have a minimum of four students. If there are less than four students at the time of the scheduled class, you will be responsible for paying the difference. If the class is delayed by 30 minutes or more from the agreed upon start time, then you will be charged a $20 late fee per half hour of delay. If 24-hour cancellation is not given before a scheduled onsite class, you will be charged a $20cancellation fee. An invoice will be mailed to you in this case. You will have 30 days to pay the cancellation fee. Also, any changes to this contract will need to be made 24 hours before the scheduled class. If the proper notice is not given then all prices and conditions will stand. If students are paying individually, then the business will be resposible for any fees or balance incurred. Accepted methods of payment are cash, checks payable to ABCDs of CPR, Inc. Visa, and Mastercard. Certification cards will be mailed to the contact person for distribution upon receipt of payment unless special arrangments have been made prior to class. If you need to purchase books before the class time such as for ACLS, you will be charged for the books at the time of purchase. Your books will be mailed to the contact person after payment is received unless special arrangements are made. Please allow enough time for shipping before the class time. Textbooks are also available from Channing Bete, Worldpoint, and various Barnes and Noble locations. If you would like additional training on how to use an AED, please let us know in advance.
